There are many types of real pearls. Breathing life into customised and artisanal jewellery, Eliotis Perle works mainly with four types of pearls, all rigorously natural, cultured and of high quality

AKOYA pearls

These are the classic white salt water pearls (or Japanese pearls) with overtones of silver or cream. They range in size from 5mm to 10 mm and have an excellent roundness.

FRESH WATER pearls

These are freshwater pearls and can take a wide range of colours (from white to pink, from pastel to peach). They range in size between 2mm to 14mm; they can take on a spherical, oval or very irregular shape (the so-called baroque pearls).

SOUTH SEA AUSTRALIAN pearls

These are salt water pearls and are considered the rarest and most precious pearls. They have an intense gold or champagne colour. They range in size between 10mm to 15mm; they can take on a spherical or oval shape, or more rarely an irregular shape.

TAHITIAN pearls

These are classic salt water pearls with dark colours (grey, green, silver). They range in size between 9mm to 13mm; they can take on a spherical or oval shape.
